Stage 3

Contact the Chairman of Governors in writing indicating that you have an unresolved complaint. State your reasons. The Chairman of Governors will ask the Head for a statement of the school’s position. The Chairman of Governors will then convene a complaints panel of three governors who have no personal involvement in the matter to review all correspondence that relates to the complaint. The panel will meet within 15 school days from the matter being brought to the attention of the Chairman of Governors. The panel will consider both verbal and written submissions. The panel may then make such recommendations or decisions as are lawful and within the remit of the governing body. The panel’s decision will be final, subject only to the legal entitlements of both parties.
